Laval’s INDUSTRIAL POLE represents:

  • 87%—552 out of a total of 635—of the city’s manufacturing companies. The remaining 13% can be found within the AGROPOLE, in the case of food processing, the BIOPOLE, for biopharmaceutical production, and the e-POLE, in the area of ICT manufacturing and services.
  • 763 companies, over 28% (211) of which operate in the wholesale, distribution, and professional, scientific and technical services sectors, as well as in construction.
  • 21,290 jobs, the highest share (58.3%) of the workforce in all Laval poles.
  • Close to 200 subcontractors, 21% of the companies finding a home in the INDUSTRIAL POLE.
  • 208 companies, 27% of all those located in the INDUSTRIAL POLE, which are active exporters, mainly to the United States.
